Suzanne Dvorak is Executive General Manager – Residential Communities at Australian Unity. Australian Unity is a national healthcare, financial services, and assisted living organisation, providing services to almost one million customers, including 300,000 members nationwide. Suzanne is responsible for Australian Unity’s residential communities portfolio, which includes 18 retirement communities and 5 aged care residences. She also leads efforts to grow the residential communities business, including driving the company’s expansion into other accommodation-based services, such as disability housing.

Prior to joining Australian Unity, Suzanne was CEO of Vivir Healthcare, a Chandler Macleod Group Business. Vivir is one of the leading allied health groups in Australia responsible for the delivery of care services to 20,000 patients at residential aged care facilities, hospitals, day therapy, community, medical centres, retirement villages, and at home patients.

Suzanne has worked as a consultant with Egon Zehnder, an international management consulting firm specializing in executive search, board consulting, leadership strategy services, CEO succession, family business advisory, diversity and inclusion.

Between 2009 and 2013, Suzanne was CEO at Save the Children Australia, leading the Australian contingent of the 29 member nation Save the Children Alliance, delivering programs in over 120 countries.

Preceding her appointment at Save the Children, Suzanne had the distinguished position of Australian CEO of Marie Stopes International (MSI).

Suzanne has worked for the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia and Thailand and helped to establish a domestic communications network. She has also worked for Telstra in Cambodia and Vietnam, and for the Australian Red Cross.

In 2005, Suzanne was recognised for her outstanding career achievements and was awarded the Hudson Community and Government Award in the National Telstra Business Women’s Awards 2005.
